Glaucoma is a disease that damages your eyes optic nerve. This can occur when fluid builds up in the front of your eye, which then puts damaging pressure on the optic nerve. There are two types of laser surgeries available for the treatment of glaucoma.

Irdotomy, a surgery in which a laser creates a tiny hole in the iris to allow fluid to exit through the drainage area. This surgery is specifically used for those with angle-closure glaucoma.
